Château Dauzac

D de Dauzac is an AOC Bordeaux wine. Derived from terroirs outside of Margaux, its specifications meet the same standards for virtuous and respectful wine-making that are applied at Château Dauzac. Bright robe with ruby highlights. A fresh and delicate nose of ripe fruits with spicy notes. The blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot provides this wine with impressive balance. It is full and delicate in the mouth and has a generous finish.

From the 2016 vintage, Château Dauzac will apply Vegan certification on all its wines. The château use now a local producer's pea paste, in order to replace the traditional egg white fining. This method allows the wine to be cleared from impurities before bottling. A new technique which allows "Vegan" wines production, free of any products of animal origin. D de Dauzac is the first label to display the Vegan-logo.

Château Dauzac, a 5th growth Grand Cru Classé Margaux wine according to the 1855 classification, has the privilege of having a one-block 49 hectares vineyard: 45 ha with the Margaux appellation and 4 ha with the Haut-Médoc appellation. Located near the Gironde estuary whose influence on the vineyard’s ecosystem is critical, the property is protected from ocean winds thanks to 120 ha of meadows and forests.
