Pierre Desmezures de Rauzan began to write the great history of Château Rauzan-Ségla in 1661, when he acquired the estate and named it after himself. Very quickly, the wines enjoyed great fame throughout the world and the estate was awarded the rank of Second Grand Cru Classé in 1855. Owned by Chanel since 1994, the estate constantly strives for excellence in its daily work, in the vineyard and cellar, in order to offer remarkable complexity to its great wines for ageing. Grape varieties: 60 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 37,5 % Merlot, 1,5 % Petit Verdot, 1 % Cabernet Franc.
