Château de Fieuzal

Château de Fieuzal ligger i kommunen Léognan og er Pessac-Léognan-klassificeret som Grand Cru for sin røde 1. vin Château de Fieuzal Grand Cru. Slottet producerer også en tør, hvid 1. vin Château de Fieuzal blanc. Inklusive 2. vinene L'Abeille de Fieuzal bliver der årligt lagt godt 13.000 kasser rødvin og 4.000 kasser hvidvin i kælderen.

48 ha vinmarker er tilplantet med 60 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 33 % Merlot, 4,5 % Cabernet Franc, 2,5 % Petit Verdot.

400 years of history and 5 families have shaped the property, its wines and its values. From the Fieuzal family to the Quinn family, passing by Erik Bocké and Gérard Gribelin, each has touched Fieuzal with their vision. One virtue unites them all: respect for the earth upon which Fieuzal is utterly dependent. Never has the land itself been forgotten or mistreated; the new buildings seem to perfectly reflect the elegant restraint and artistic eye of Brenda and Lochlann Quinn, Fieuzal’s owners since 2001. Gravelly sandy, gravels from Villefranche. Manual harvest with sorting in the vineyard. Maceration for 4 weeks. Aged for 16-24 months in new oak barrels (50 %).
